| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 25th, 2023: Dayton's Strong Week Earns NL Trophy
All week long Preston Dayton was the toughest out in the National League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week.
The Milwaukee shortstop rapped out 16 hits in 29 at-bats for a .552 batting average, drove in 13 runs and scored 7 times.
So far this year Dayton is batting .321 with 23 home runs.

Jason Drake really wowed everybody at the ballpark with his 3-0 shutout victory over Milwaukee today. The New York pitcher mystified the Brewers in a strong performance. He gave up 6 hits and totaled 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
His manager said, "Jason had them chasing a lot of pitches and turning around and saying 'wow' . . . we were thinking the same thing, too. It was something special to watch."
This season Drake has fanned 34 in 75 innings and collected a 5-4 record with a 4.92 ERA.
