Reports out of San Francisco indicate that Wilson Stark, the gifted center fielder, might be sidelined for 1-2 weeks or so with a bruised wrist. The 27-year-old star suffered the injury in yesterday's Brewers-Giants game while making a defensive play. "It's a game time decision," noted the team doctor, "It all depends on how Wilson feels later today. If he can play, he will."
Thus far in 2023 Stark is hitting .266 with 20 home runs, 81 RBIs, 115 runs scored and has compiled a .357 OBP.

 | Saturday, September 9th, 2023: San Francisco Loses Joshua Grundy
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Joshua Grundy after injuring himself in a game against New York. The San Francisco manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 2 weeks with a fractured nose." The Giants will have to decide over the next day or two whether the left fielder will go on the disabled list.
Thus far this season in 131 games Grundy is batting .228 with 9 home runs, 50 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 429 at-bats.

According to Anthony Weil of the San Francisco Giants, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 3-0 victory over Philadelphia.
He blanked them on a 6-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 6 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Weil said.
His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
In 2023, Weil has a 19-9 mark in 36 starts with a 3.05 ERA. He has given up 236 hits in 259.2 innings, struck out 208 and issued 49 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .242 batting average against him.
