Saturday, October 28th, 2023: Texas Rangers Take World Championship
It was a clash of the two best teams in the National Online Baseball League -- the Texas Rangers and the Washington Nationals -- and when the dust cleared on the diamond -- the Rangers were the 2023 World Championship champions.

It all came to an end today at Texas Stadium, when Texas clinched the title with a 2-1 victory and won the series 4-3. It is the 1st time it has happened in club history.

During the American League Central regular season Texas put up a 93-69 record and finished second.
Tuesday, October 24th, 2023: Zaragoza Hurls Rangers to Shutout Win
Carlo Zaragoza of the Texas Rangers put the clamps on the opposition and held the Washington Nationals scoreless in a 5-hit whitewash.

"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Washington skipper after the 2-0 loss.

Zaragoza was on target most of the game and finished with 12 strikeouts and 1 walk.

So far this season Zaragoza has 18 wins and 7 losses and a 3.80 ERA.
Saturday, October 21st, 2023: Richardson Blanks Texas
The Washington manager told reporters after the game, "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy. The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."

He was talking about Bill Richardson, who had just hurled a fine 3-hit shutout over the Texas Rangers. He had 2 strikeouts and no walks in the Washington 8-0 victory.

"An outstanding job," the Texas manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."

Season-to-date Richardson has rung up 21 wins and 5 losses in 32 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.61 and has fanned 184 batters in 251.1 innings.
