| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, September 26th, 2023: Lilienthal 5-5 for San Diego It was high-5 day at San Diego Field, at least for Dean Lilienthal of the San Diego Padres. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Minnesota Twins. Lilienthal smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 8-5 win.
His manager said, "Dean was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
D. Lilienthal singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off O. Monagas in the 8th.

Tadahisa is currently batting .335 with 21 home runs and 107 RBIs. |  | Wednesday, September 6th, 2023: Miskell Tosses Shutout Against San Diego "He was kind of teasing them with his offspeed stuff and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Toronto skipper said in postgame comments after Tony Miskell had shut out the San Diego Padres 7-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece.
Miskell numbered 8 strikeouts and issued 4 walks in a gem of a performance.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well . . . or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," complained the San Diego manager after the defeat.
