| Breaking News |  | Thursday, September 21st, 2023: McVeigh Takes SL2 Outstanding Pitcher Award
Benedict McVeigh had a spectacular year for Laredo in 2023, putting up 13 wins for the Atomics to walk away with the Sub League 2 Outstanding Pitcher Award trophy.
He finished the season with a 13-4 mark, 109 strikeouts and a 2.49 ERA. In 19 starts McVeigh surrendered 109 hits and 28 walks in 151.2 innings on the mound.
This weekend he will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.
