| Breaking News | | Saturday, September 30th, 2023: Camacho Bats .409! Alvin Camacho joined a very select group today as he closed out 2023 with a torrid .409 batting average. It was a fantastic year for the Houston right fielder as he became the newest member of baseball's .400 club.
During the season he stroked 246 hits, including 18 doubles, 2 triples and 4 home runs. Camacho also scored 107 times and drove in 76 runs.
Asked by the media what's the hardest part of hitting .400, he glibly replied, "Getting 4 hits in every 10 at-bats." Then, speaking seriously, Camacho added, "Staying out of slumps is important. You have to be focused in every game and in every at-bat. Don't swing at anything but strikes...and stay away from any pitch you can't hit." | | Monday, September 25th, 2023: Griffie 5-5 Against Braves During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted second baseman was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Houston skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Griffie has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."

"Not much I can say," offered Fassett in the SION postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?"
